Gods and Demons
Beyond the realm of Araz there exist Gods and Demons. The Gods of Tumadrax gave life to the peoples of Araz, whilst the Demons of Nethoral seek to destroy them.
Tumadrax - The Gods of Araz
Beyond the realm of Araz, above the sky, lies the upper plane known as Tumadrax – the Realm of the Gods.
In total there are twelve Gods; every two Gods claim “ownership” over the race or group of races they brought into existence.

- Ituro and Idonna: God and Goddess of the Northlings
- Uliath and Syna: God and Goddess of the Elves
- Abal’Endi and Hera’Eroa: God and Goddess of the Dragonkind
- Bazaral and Ren: God and Goddess of the Mountainkind
- Meres and Diamis: God and Goddess of the Humans
- Tinhaf and Torilia: God and Goddess of the Dwarves

Nethoral - The Demons Below
The Vaemoresar are the Gods’ worst enemies, harbouring a deep hatred of them and their creations. Legend suggest the Vaemoresar are old gods, once worshipped by the First Peoples, but the seven are now confined to Nethoral until the end days. They are far from powerless, though, with a multitude of followers and the power to extend influence beyond their prison. It is believed that they test their power against each other, battling within Nethoral.

There are also so-called “Living Vaemora”: these are people who dedicate their lives to the Vaemoresar to such an extent that they are awarded supernatural abilities in life (though always with a price). Such abilities include, but are not limited to: the ability to acquire supernatural speed and strength at the cost of consuming living blood; the ability to take on the form of an animal at the cost of losing parts of their mortal self; the ability to enter a person’s dreams to drive them insane at the cost of their own sanity.

- Yemirak is the Vaemoresar of Blood, Death and Decay;
- Talmariso is the Vaemoresar of Madness, Nightmares and Fear;
- Rilarokima is the Vaemoresar of Failure, Weakness and Inaction;
- Dalgoros is the Vaemoresar of Decadence, Debauchery and Indulgence;
- Wilmakka is the Vaemoresar of Plague, Famine and Disease;
- Frilmara is the Vaemoresar of Disasters, Accidents and Misfortune;
- Carvinix is the Vaemoresar of Rebellion, War and Deceit.
